Since its inception in 2021, the International Women’s Development Conference (IWDC) has emerged as a transformative force for global gender equity and women’s empowerment. Founded through the collaborative efforts of the Community Development Foundation (CDF) and the Global Women’s Development Network (GWDN), IWDC has grown from an ambitious initiative spanning 15 countries to a powerful network connecting over 150 nations by 2025.
2021: Building a Foundation for Change
• IWDC launched with participation from 15 countries, laying the groundwork for global collaboration on women’s rights and economic development.
2022: Strengthening Connections
• Partnerships with local organizations and leaders created inclusive and impactful initiatives rooted in grassroots realities.
2023: Accelerating Momentum
• Expansion to 75+ nations, focusing on health, education, leadership, and entrepreneurship, amplified the coalition’s impact through global events and programs.
2024: Establishing a Global Movement
• Presence in 150+ countries, integrating women’s rights into global policy and economic agendas while uniting stakeholders for collaborative progress.
2025: Connecting Dots, Building Bridges
• Engaged with 300+ influential leaders, hosted 60-70 hours of virtual engagements annually, and created global networks connecting women entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers.
